September 2015Our students have had an amazingly successful season at the Drama Festivals and have been invited to perform at the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta, USA!
Congratulations to the students and their teachers – Madeleine Johns (Junior) and Thomas Armstrong-Robley (Senior). The talented Senior Troupe will be going on to perform an excerpt from Into The Woods Jnr in Atlanta in January 2016 in the Junior Theatre Festival. Representing all of Australia. What an amazing honour and a testament to their talents! |
August 2015Once again very proud of our students and directors who took part in the KSP Eisteddfod in Burpengary. We entered two plays, Like a Metaphor and Revolting Rhymes. Like A Metaphor (Best Play Youth Section and 2nd Best Play Overall Festival), Revolting Rhymes (Adjudicator’s Award Youth Section), Jarrad Langtree (Best Actor Youth Section), Rebbekah Law (Best Supporting Actress Youth Section), Thomas Bapty (Best Supporting Actor Youth Section), Charlotte Rubendra and James Flitcroft (Awards for Distinction Youth Section). Absolutely brilliant results!
We also performed at the Sandgate (Yarrageh) Drama Festival and came away with a further six awards! June 2015Congratulations to the Roar Junior Drama Troupe who performed in the Murrumba Drama Festival 2015! We recieved several awards; including, Thomas Bapty (Best Actor), Charlotte Rubendra (Best Supporting Actress), and Second Best Play. Congratulations also to Roar student Roisin Wallace-Nash who won Best Actress for Mousetrap!

August 2014We entered two plays into the Youth Section of the Murrumba Drama Festival, v. Our results were outstanding! Georgia Gleeson (Best Actress), Matthew Bapty (Best Actor), Liam Kirkpatrick (Best Actor in a Comedy Role), Jamii Dymock (Best Actress in a Comedy Role), Kaley Jones (Best Supporting Actress), Jarrad Langtree (Best Supporting Actor), Liam Hartley (Adjudicator’s Award). We also managed to receive the President’s Cup for the most valuable contribution to the festival. The first time a youth group has won this award. Congratulations to all our students!
