We are thrilled to announce that ROAR Academy will be sending a team of 28 students to the inaugural JTC (Junior Theatre Celebration) in Newcastle October 20.
After a successful tour to JTF (Junior Theatre Celebration) in Atlanta, USA in January this year, ROAR Academy are proud to be supporting Hal Leonard and Music Theatre International in sending a team to the very first musical theatre celebration here in Australia.
Modelled on the popular Junior Theatre Festival (JTF) that has taken place annually in Atlanta for the last 15 years, JTC is a similar, one-day event coming to Newcastle, Australia in October 2016.
Events include adjudications, workshops for students, Theatre celebrities, a New Works Showcase, Awards Ceremonies and the largest collection of musical theatre professional development under one roof. Since its inception in 2003, JTF has grown from 650 people in attendance to over 4,500 attendees. It is a weekend of true musical theatre madness that is not to be missed!
ROAR Academy will present a 10 minute segment from Into The Woods Jnr (performed in April 2016) and a 10 minute segment from Beauty and the Beast Jnr (which will be presented in January 2017).
We also have the honour of performing in the NEW WORKS showcase.
The team of 28 students range in age from 8years to 17years and will be supported by a 28 strong team of teachers, chaperones and accompanying parents.
