We would love you to hear from some of our current students who can tell you in their own words what learning and performing at ROAR feels like for them.

ROAR Academy is delighted to offer a wide range of training classes in the triple threat performing skills to assist our students develop their confidence in singing, acting and dancing  and so become magical performers.
Please join us for a trial class so you can see for yourself why ROAR students look so captivating and engaging on stage.

ROAR Timetable

Monday:
  • 4-5pm – JUNIOR Dance – exploring various styles of dance appropriate for Musical Theatre performance – suggested age 7-11yrs - (Term Fee -$125)
  • 5-6pm – JUNIOR Broadway (AGE 7-11yrs) – the class will focus on rehearsing musical numbers from a selection of JR Musicals including FINDING NEMO Jr, FROZEN Jr and SHREK Jr (Term Fee $125)
  • 6-7pm – JUNIOR Drama – learning basic skills - exploring acting technique, finding your voice, preparation of poems & monologues, telling a story – suggested age 7-11yrs – (Term Fee - $125)
  • 6-7pm – INTERMEDIATE / SENIOR DANCE with LYNDON STEELE (Suggested age 12yrs+) – technique and fitness class for our older students to keep up technique (Cost $15 per class or $125 per term)

Tuesday:
  • 4.30-6pm – INTERMEDIATE BROADWAY – suggested age 10-14yrs – focus on learning and rehearsing musical numbers from a selection of JR Musicals with a focus on The LION KING Jr, FROZEN Jr, FINDING NEMO Jr and SHREK Jr (Term Fee $175)
  • 6-7.30pm - INTERMEDIATE DRAMA – suggested age 10-14yrs – focus in Term 3 will be on finalizing LITTLE WOMEN for performance and preparing monologues and scenes (Term Fee $175)
  • 7-8pm – PERFORMANCE Troupe (by invitation) - preparation for community performance gigs, auditions, tertiary theatre and performance courses and paid performance work - (Term Fee - $150)

Wednesday:
  • 4-5pm – BEGINNER BROADWAY – suggested age 5-7yrs – an introduction to singing and dancing in Musical Theatre through fun games and songs (Term Fee - $125)
  • 5-7pm – SENIOR BROADWAY – suggested age 14yrs+ - in term 1 the focus will be on learning and preparing items for POMS return season as well as selections from NEWSIES, WICKED, 13 The Musical, The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen and other modern musicals (Cost $195 per term)

Thursday:​
  • 4-6pm - PRIVATE VOCAL CLASSES with TAYLOR TRAN – 30min classes ($30 per 30mins)
  • 6-8pm – JTF 2023 – preparation for the adjudication piece and New Works Showcase. This commitment runs through to WEEK 3 in Term 4.

Saturday:
  • 8.30-10am - DRAMA TROUPE – suggested age 10-14yrs – focus in Term 3 will be on finalizing LITTLE WOMEN for performance (Term Fee $195 – this fee is instead of the class term fee)
  • 10-11.30am – DRAMA TROUPE - (suggested age 9-16yrs) – focus in Term 3 will be on finalizing WIND IN THE WILLOWS for performance (Term Fee $195 – this fee is instead of the class term fee)
  • 12noon-2pm – PROJECT Work – INTERMEDIATE and SENIOR Students preparing for specific performance Projects – BY INVITATION

​By Appointment – 
  • PRIVATE Dance and/or Performance Classes – prepare for an audition or work on a solo piece, learn how to present a song, ace an audition or deliver a winning monologue - ($30 per 30mins)
