JAKE HOLLINGSWORTH

DRAMA
Jake graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor's Degree in Acting and Performance in 2017 and has acted in venues and theatre festivals throughout Brisbane. In 2018 Jake traveled to the United Kingdom where he performed in outdoor Shakespeare plays and Christmas pantomimes. Experienced in writing and self directing, Jake performed his own solo piece called The Theory of Emotion in 2014 and has continued to showcase it at theatres and festivals in Australia, including Short and Sweet in 2017. Jake's performance credentials include The Poet and the Women by Aristophanes, Julius Caesar by Shakespeare, Algernon in Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, Dickens' David Copperfield, Downtown at Theatre 102, and Wedekind's Spring Awakening in which he portrayed Melchior. A student of acting for more than three years, Jake gained experience in the Suzuki Method created by Japanese theatre director Tadashi Suzuki, and the Performance Endurance Training system devised and instructed by Lisa O'Neill.
